FG Outreach Coordinator
Amber graduated from Frostburg State University in May 2014 with a degree in visual arts and minors in art history and chemistry. Her aspiration was to someday become an art conservator, but after a year of interning in the field post-college, she decided it was not right for her personality. She went on to spend a few months in Maine directing a darkroom photography program at a summer camp, which eventually led to eight months in California teaching at an outdoor education facility. Following her year working in children’s camps, she spent the summer of 2016 traveling around the world creating a documentary about WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). During these travels she got her start in agriculture on a variety of farms in Portugal, Italy, Thailand, and New Zealand. Through all of these transitions and travels, Frostburg has always held a special place in Amber’s heart. After seeing the open position with Frostburg Grows, she moved back and holds the title of AmeriCorps Outreach Coordinator with the organization.
